Short Biography

Dr. Kiminao Kogiso received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Osaka University, Japan, in 1999, 2001, and 2004, respectively.

He was appointed as a postdoctoral fellow in the 21st Century COE Program and as an Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Information Science, Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Nara, Japan, in April 2004 and July 2005, respectively. From November 2010 to December 2011, he was a visiting scholar at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA. In March 2014, he was promoted to the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Intelligent Systems Engineering at The University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, Japan. And since April 2023, he has been serving as a full Professor in the same department.

His research interests include cybersecurity of control systems, constrained control, control of decision-makers, and their applications. He has been served as an Associate Editor for SICE Journal of Control, Measurement, and System Integration, from 2020 to 2025. He is a member of IEEE, SICE, ISCIE, and JSME.
